Predator Proof Rabbit Hutches and Runs Confound Predators

If you happen to have a pet rabbit then you’ll understand the necessity of physical exercise for them. If rabbits are left purely in their cages the long term effects are that they will lose their strength, and are much more prone to disease and illness. Some people decide to let their rabbit run around in their house and exercise that way, nonetheless this is not the most practical answer, you do not want your rabbit getting into unsafe places and also, through no fault of their own, rabbits are not always the best when interacting together with your house pets, should you have any. Your solution is predator proof rabbit hutches and runs!

The run component of Rabbit Hutches and Runs is a covered element created particularly for use outside. These are characterised by having only walls and a roof, as it has no floor. The floor is provided by nature itself. The ground is really a natural floor for rabbits to make use of for their physical exercise and general fun. They are well equipped to keep rabbits inside but what about making sure that the predators stay on the outside? This is where predator proof Rabbit Hutches and Runs are essential.

Predator Proof Rabbit Hutches and Runs are built specifically with the intention of keeping out the rabbits numerous predators, and particularly to be able to take on the strength of the ever persistent fox, and most importantly to keep your Rabbit safe from harm. Inside a rabbit run you are able to often have space for more than just one rabbit, which is particularly worth thinking about if you do happen to keep numerous rabbits. It may well appear obvious, but some thing that you do have to be aware of is putting rabbits of each gender inside the exact same run. Rabbits have a bit of a reputation, and it really is not unfounded! You may have a veritable army of rabbits on your hand if you’re not careful! Just make sure gender exclusivity within your runs and you’ll have nothing to worry about. Rabbit Runs can be rather cumbersome, and given their unique design are intended for use outside. Runs are intended for play time use for the rabbits and as such are usually created with the capability of being unassembled for ease of storage. For housing your Rabbits in the long term you are going to require hutches or cages.

Nonetheless, with cages, all sides are open and as such your rabbit might be prone to feeling rather cold a lot of the time. Cages are best when utilized for only a single rabbit.

Hutches are a lot more solid in their construction; only one to two sides are open for ventilation and therefore can be implemented for outdoor use. Many of these Rabbit Hutches also contain an enclosed location for the rabbit to make use of for a sense of retreat where they can get away from light, heat and numerous elements. Rabbit Hutches are the very best choice should you have several rabbits, an especially large rabbit, or even if you just have one standard sized rabbit, but the situation would benefit from him/her living outside.

How to Shake the Winter Blues and Make Some Extra Money by Pet Sitting

The snowy days of winter, what does it mean for you? To most folks winter means a time of slippery sidewalks, nasty roads, flu season, and something that can be much worse for others, the Winter Blues. The winter blues does not generally happen to someone who is busy all day with things to do in the winter, because they keep active and energetic, as night time approaches, they relax and go to sleep. Now, since you have enough extra time on your hands in the winter, that it causes you to get the winter blues, lets discover a great little activity that can help fight against it and earn you some money too.

You must live in either a house or an apartment, and if you live in an apartment you can still do the activity I am going to talk about, but you probably won’t have the same options as a homeowner has. Almost everyone sooner or later dreams of starting a home based business to make some extra money, or to be able to work part time doing something they love. There is one business that anyone can start with no upfront money needed, all that is required is patience and kindness, and this is the business of Pet Sitting.

In the cold of winter, folks still need to go to work, or on trips, and at these times, pets need to be left in someone’s care, and this is where they need the services of a ‘ Pet Sitter ‘. There are two ways you can operate your own pet sitting business, if you own your own residence, you can watch pets inside your home, having the pet owners drop off their pets at your residence. This puts you more at ease, and you have more time to devote directly to your home duties as well as the pet sitting business, since you don’t have to spend time traveling to the pet owners residence. If you have an apartment, you may not be allowed to have pets, and in this case you would have to watch the pets at the owners residence. Simply hang some signs on store bulletin boards and place a little ad under the ‘Services’ or ‘Pet’ listings in you local Newspaper classifieds to let folks know that you want a job pet sitting.

Make sure you have some knowledge of the pets you will be sitting, for instance read and learn about them all you can, dogs and cats are pretty easy, birds are harder, but snakes and lizards or turtles may be totally unique and could even pose a danger to you, if your not familiar with them. Pets need sleep and rest time, they need activity or exercise, they need food, water and warmth, some even require medication at certain times of the day, but all pets need patience and love. Make sure you have emergency telephone numbers, so you can call the owners veterinarian or pet clinic in case you have too, and you may also need to get in contact with the pets owner, so don’t forget the telephone number where they can be reached at. Now, when winter comes and you have nothing to do, keep busy with pet sitting and earn some extra money, while you help shake the winter blues.

There is a website that describes numerous activities and other methods to help eliminate the Winter Blues, this website is called: Winter Activities – and it may be found at this url: http://www.winter-activities.com

You may publish this article in your ezine, newsletter or on your web site as long as it is reprinted in its entirety and without modification except for formatting needs or grammar corrections.

Purrfect Pet Presents

It’s hard to believe that Christmas is a week away! The malls are packed with shoppers buying presents for their loved ones, including their pets. I have some clients who put up stockings on their fireplace with the names of all their two-legged and four-legged household members, and there are even  a few gifts under the Christmas tree that are addressed to Fluffy and Kitty. While I have never personally bought Christmas gifts for my furry babies, with all the cool pet gifts on the market, I may just have to this year.

I have seen pet gifts ranging from Doggles, which are UV safe dog goggles, to backpacks for outdoorsy dogs, to homespa gift sets for pampered pooches, to collars adorned with jewels for the fancy pet. The most beautiful collar I saw was covered with Swarovski crystals and pearls, each one unique and handcrafted especially for the aristoCAT.

If you’re thinking about getting something for the furball in your life and have an unlimited amount of money, you can get  the most elaborate gifts that you can ever imagine. However, most of us living in this “ruff” economy, are on a budget and prefer to give more reasonably priced presents to everyone our list. Luckily, pets are not nearly as materialistic or “catty” as we are, so whether or not they have something to open on Christmas morning, they will still love you all the same.

The best gift you can give your pet this Christmas and year-round is love, affection, attention, proper veterinary care and for the many homeless pets nationwide, a forever home. If you are extemely financially strapped but still want to give your pet a present, you can let them play with things that you have around the house. My cat Onyx loves rolling the tops of my Bath and Body Works body sprays in between his paws and my dog Digi is a fanatic for old tennis balls.

As pet parents, we love our pets like family and want to treat them like family, so if you decide to get your fuzzy kid a gift this Christmas, whether it is jewelry, clothes, toys or a bed, be sure that it will not cause harm by strangulation, choking, poisoning or obstruction. Examine all toys and gifts carefully for potential hazards and supervise play at all times. If you want to buy a new toy for your pet as a gift, give those especially made for pets and not children’s toys because of all the small parts and other possible pet-harming components.

Our pets deserve to enjoy the holiday cheer just like everyone else. By giving them safe  presents, you can ensure that their christmas is a purrfect one.
